About Harrisville

Urban Stewart built the first house in the area in 1850, founding what was to become Harrisville. A brief war between the settlers and the Shoshone tribe resulted in the death of Chief Terikee of the Shoshone people as well as a settler named Campbell. The Indians attempted to destroy the settlement and were deterred by 150 men sent by the LDS church to help defend the Weber County Settlement.

A history of manufacturing, mercantilism, and railroading caused Harrisville to grow and thrive. At present, it is a multi-faceted town concentrating upon various types of housing and the stores, city departments, and parks to enhance the style of living appreciated by the individuals and families that live there. Housing in the town is rated as R-1-10, R-1-80, and R-3. Zoning is conducive to multiple-family housing and rental housing.

Harrisville Property Management

Harrisville is an excellent area in which to establish apartment complexes, condominium units, and rental dwellings to cater to the growing needs of Ogden and its surrounding area. For that reason, owners may want to consider HOA managment to ease the rigors of owning property. Harrisville HOA managment can help you deal with the daily problems that occur when you rent to individuals and families.

Property managers deal with the following chores:

  • Setting rent to exactly the right level to attract tenants
  • Collecting rent so the owner is not troubled with enforcement
  • Adjusting rent as necessary to maximize profits without destroying the market

Furthermore, property managers are responsible for seeing to maintenance and repairs, knowledge of landlord-tenant law, supervision of painters and other workers, budget management; seeing that taxes are paid, and all the activities needed to run a rental business, keep it profitable. Property managers such as Welch Agency can make owning a property considerably more convenient and business-like than if landlords attempt to do it themselves.  Contact us for more HOA management and property management information in Harrisville and surrounding areas.
